Romero Britto is one of the most internationally celebrated pop artists of his generation. Largely self-taught, he fuses Cubism, Pop Art and graffiti into a signature language of thick black outlines, flat planes of saturated colour and dense pattern. His work has been shown in more than 100 countries and commissioned by Disney, Coca-Cola, Audi, FIFA, the United Nations and the Royal Family of Monaco, with public sculptures from Miami to Hyde Park and the Hermitage. His stated mission, to spread art, joy and happiness, gives every piece an unmistakable optimism.
